Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Shahin Shahmir for your use of Pathlight. By using Pathlight, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Pathlight.

What Pathlight is

Pathlight is an iOS app built around small daily Moments and a continuing personal path. A Moment may invite a small pause or action. You may answer Yes or Not today. Both answers allow the path to continue.

Pathlight is not a dashboard, task list, score, streak, or performance system.

Accounts and Guest mode

Pathlight may offer Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, and Continue as Guest.

• Signed-in use. If you sign in, your account and path data may sync through Pathlight services.
• Guest mode. Guest mode is designed for local use on your device. If you delete the app, clear device storage, lose the device, or do not later attach Guest data to an account, your Guest path may not be recoverable.
• Provider accounts. Apple and Google sign-in are also governed by the terms and privacy practices of those providers.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Pathlight, for keeping your device secure, and for making choices that are appropriate for your own situation.

Do not use Pathlight in a way that distracts you from unsafe situations, driving, or any activity where attention is required.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Pathlight may send Moment notifications through iOS and Expo notification infrastructure. Notification timing is approximate and may depend on your device settings, network conditions, operating system behavior, and your Pathlight preferences.

You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings or in Pathlight settings.

Important limits

• Pathlight is not a medical or therapy service.
• Pathlight does not provide medical advice.
• Pathlight is not emergency support.
• Pathlight does not guarantee any specific personal outcome.
• Pathlight should not be used as a substitute for professional advice or urgent support.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Pathlight, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the service except where law permits it, or use Pathlight in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Intellectual property

Pathlight, including its name, design, visual system, Moment library, interface, text, graphics, software, and related materials, is owned by Shahin Shahmir or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Pathlight to you.

Service changes

Pathlight may change over time. We may add, remove, or modify features, providers, availability, copy, or visual systems as the product develops.

Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account as described on the Delete Account page. You may also contact support for deletion help. We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse Pathlight, create risk, or violate these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Pathlight is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shahin Shahmir disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shahin Shahmir will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruption.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
